Overview

This breed originated in France, where they were developed during 1500. The Beauceron is a herding dog large, used by farmers to keep an eye on sheep, cattle and family. During the first and second world war, the French army used these dogs as messengers. They were prized for their ability to recognizeMines and paths to follow directions. Even today, the Beauceron is still used by the police and the army.

Temperament

The Beauceron is very brave, affectionate, intelligent dog. These dogs are fearless and very vigilant and persistent.
